HMI and DCM Internet Access Minimums

HMIs and DCMs require a minimum amount of internet access to maintain their software and OS up to date. Here are the options available to ensure that the PlantStar HMIs and DCMs continue to function and maintain their level of security.

There are two (2) options for providing the required internet access for DCMs and HMIs.

1) Allow at least access to http://deb.debian.org, http://security.debian.org, and https://packages.broadcom.com to download packages for OS and software updates.

2) We can configure the APU to provide IP Forwarding and NAT for the DCMs and HMIs and then utilize the APU as the gateway device.
